I am an engineer, husband, dad of three and I have lived with MS for over 20 years. My disability is severe weakness on one side of my body so I cannot walk on uneven surfaces or stairs. We live in a 2 story house with two flights of stairs so moving around the house is becoming a real challenge as time passes. We considered moving to a bungalow but we love our home and location so I looked for options. A friend suggested an elevator but I thought that it would be cost prohibitive and would not fit in our home. I decided to research home elevator products anyway and found PVE. It looked interesting and had a comprehensive website. The principle of operation is simple, the footprint is exceedingly small and it has a cool, modern look.
We got in contact with Phil Dumouchel who installs the system in Canada. We met him at a home where a PVE was installed. We were sold at first sight. The operation was smooth, quiet and It looked very modern. It had a reasonable price compared to traditional systems so the choice was made very quickly.
We decided to install a 3 floor PVE system in our home. Phil installed the system in December 2019. The system is used a lot and has worked every day flawlessly and has changed my home life for the better. I would recommend Phil and the PVE system to anyone that is looking at home elevators. The system is outstanding and Phil is a great guy.

We purchased our home in 1996, it was a bungalow as I was already having trouble with my knees.
As time moved on my knees/legs got worse, and I have got more health problems. We started thinking that we might have to move to a place with everything on one floor. I was on longer able to freely go down to our basement and back up, we didn't want to move as we really like our home and neighbourhood.
In order to move we needed to do some up-grading to our home. We considered many ideas including moving the laundry room upstairs so i could access it.
We spoke with Phil Dumouchel about our ideas and he shared some of his own. Then I remember a number of years ago at some show on the Stampede Grounds-Home Show or something similar I remember seeing a cylinder free standing elevator.
We told Phil Dumouchel about this item, with much effort on his part we are now the proud owners of a Pneumatic 37 inch elevator. It is very pleasant to look at. Some people have a fireplace in their living room we have a elevator. It is not very noisy, maybe like a vacuum cleaner.
My/our life is much better I can now go downstairs whenever 1 feel like it. My husband is on longer my gopher boy. I can get things from the basement, see what is in the freezer, bring things up and yes do laundry-this may not seem exciting but I now feel that I can actually help around the house. I have the ability to get around in my home.
With this elevator we can stay in our home for many more years and continue to enjoy where we live.
